A Bucks County woman has pleaded guilty to multiple charges and admitted to causing the death of an 11-month-old girl who was one of several children being cared for at an illegal daycare that was run out of her home. The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said 50-year-old Lauren Elizabeth Landgrebe took the plea at a hearing on Tuesday. In addition to pleading guilty to felony charges of involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of children, operating a daycare facility without a license and tampering with evidence, she also pleaded no contest to a count of receiving stolen property for unrelated theft.

The DA’s office said the baby was at the woman’s Upper Southampton Township home on Aug. 27, 2019, when she was placed incorrectly in a car seat and left alone for about two hours. The baby was one of eight children at her home that day. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
