Emergency services raced to the scene earlier today.
The 52-year-old biker collided with a car on Glasgow Road near Barshaw Park around 1.40pm, police said.
Emergency services personnel were seen gathered at the site today as they closed the area off to traffic while tending to the injured man who has been taken to hospital in Glasgow for treatment. The road heading eastbound has been closed so the situation can be dealt with and for collision investigation work to take place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 1.40pm on Thursday, September 7, to a report of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Glasgow Road in Paisley. “Emergency services attended and the motorcycle rider, a 52-year-old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. The road is currently closed eastbound at Hawkhead Road.”
