This summer, Paramount+ will offer viewers the ability to stream Showtime shows for an additional cost.
Streaming service Paramount+ will be offering series by Showtime for an extra fee starting this summer. Paramount+ is seen as one of the most recent streaming services in a long line of services created by film studios to house their own exclusive content. In fact, the service has been around for nearly a decade in the form of CBS All Access, which only rebranded to Paramount+ back in March of 2021.
In a recent tweet from Paramount's parent company ViacomCBS, it has been announced that come this summer, Paramount+ subscribers can add a Showtime subscription to their account as a simple in-app upgrade. The extra fee for Showtime doesn't come as much of a surprise, as many have often considered Showtime to be ViacomCBS's version of HBO. No official date for when this service will be available has been set as of yet.
