The park is now more colourful and children are loving it
In Radford, parents say they are ‘very impressed’ with improvements worth thousands of pounds made at a local playground. Nottingham City Council has previously described the park on Ronald Street as “rapidly reaching end of life”; however, now, the park has had a total revamp.
New slides, swings, see-saws, toddler play areas, and a new fitness area are some of the new features at the park. The park has been redeveloped by the council and supported by a £100,000 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.In March 2023, parents agreed it was ‘about time’ the playground had improvements made to it. Now the improvements have been completed, mum Natasha Bridges from Radford, said: “I’m very impressed with the improvements, the park looks great.
Abdul from Radford added: “We have this park and then one in Forest Fields but this [revamped park] is definitely money well-spent.”
