Maybe this is the year you hit up your neighbor for a ride to the airport.
About 250 spaces are out of commission while the parking garage undergoes repairs, according to interim airport director Dennis Kramer. The $5 million project got started early this fall and is expected to last about 12 months.
He recommends that travelers check the airport website to see if there is on-site parking available; if not, consider off-site lots, RTA, Uber, cab – or phone in that favor from your neighbor. Once you’re parked your car, the airport is offering a few different ways to ease the pain of waiting around for your flight, with live music, a new museum exhibit and more.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will sponsor live cover performances of inductees’ songs on Wednesday, tentatively scheduled from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., in Concourse B; Destination Cleveland will bring in a DJ and offer promotional giveaways to the baggage claim area from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday.
