Overnight eastbound lane closures at junction 20 will be in place from Monday, January 23, until Saturday, February 18, between 10pm and 6am each night.ScotlandThe £230k scheme will benefit around 13,149 vehicles using this route each day, by preventing the deterioration of the structure and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.Traffic will be diverted as follows:
• Traffic wishing to access the M8 eastbound junction 19 North Street off-ramp will merge with lane 1 and will be diverted via the A814 Clydeside Expressway. Traffic will then exit at Finnieston Street and follow signs for the A814 Anderston Quay to join the A804 North Street. From here, traffic will be able to re-join the M8 via the junction 19 on-slip road.
• Traffic wishing to access the M8 eastbound junction 19 Bothwell Street off-ramp will merge onto lane 1 and will be diverted via the A814 Clydeside Expressway. Traffic will then exit at Finnieston Street and will follow signs for A814 Anderston Quay to join Broomielaw. From here, traffic will turn on to York Street, West Campbell Street, Waterloo Street, Pitt Street, and finally on to Bothwell Street.
• There will also be a lane 1 closure approaching the eastbound Kingston Bridge and traffic for the M8 eastbound junction 19 Bothwell Street off-ramp will exit the motorway at M8 Junction 18 following signs to join the A804 St George’s Road southbound, proceeding to A804 Newton Street southbound. Traffic will then turn on to William Street, Bishop Lane, and Pitt Street before joining Bothwell Street.
