The former Thistle manager died aged 78 on Thursday night, his family announced this morning. Cormack managed the Jags for three-and-a-half years after a stellar playing career, winning the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and First Division.

The Jags faithful are set to remember Cormack with a pre-match tribute to their former manager before Saturday's game with Falkirk, as reported by the Daily Record. In a statement this morning, the club said: "Everyone at Partick Thistle FC is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former manager and player Peter Cormack.
Cormack died Thursday night after battling dementia in his later years. Edinburgh-born Cormack started his career with Hibernian in 1963 before moving down south to Nottingham Forest. Cormack played nine times for Scotland and, after Thistle, also managed Anorthosis FC, Botswana, Cowdenbeath and Greenock Morton. He also designed clothes.
