The FBI arrested a Minnesota man for multiple crimes aboard an Alaska bound flight on Saturday.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested a man from Minnesota on Saturday, June 24, for multiple crimes involving misconduct on an Alaska Airlines flight from Minnesota to Anchorage.
37-year-old Christian David Burch is accused of becoming combative after he was seen acting erratically and stumbling towards the front of the aircraft, according to court documents. Burch refused to listen to instructions from crew members and began fighting with them, causing minor injuries. A flight attendant was able to block Burch from reaching the cockpit and with help from several passengers and crew members, he was restrained mid-flight and given Narcan for a suspected overdose.
The FBI Anchorage Field Office and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Alaska wants to remind everyone to be air aware when flying aboard commercial aircraft, as criminal violations have increased in recent years.
