Santiago Patino scores in return to lift San Antonio FC to road win against Monterey Bay FC

Patino, SAFC’s leading returning scorer after tallying eight goals last season, had been limited to just 13 minutes in one match this year due to injury, sitting out since April 16. When the teams last met April 30 at Toyota Field, SAFC posted a 6-0 win to mark the most lopsided victory in club history. But Saturday’s match was contentious throughout, with Monterey Bay striking first.
Just four minutes later, PC sent a pass between a pair of Monterey defenders to Justin Dhillon in the right side of the penalty area and Dhillon’s first touch was a chip into the back of the net for a 2-1 lead.
