And it's not great But all of this matters. Local coverage matters because it puts what politicians and others in positions of power say and do on the record. It is essential to a functioning democracy. Comfort the afflicted, afflict the comfortable, as the saying goes.
And national coverage matters because, fairly nor not, it frames Arizona and people's perception of it in a certain way.
