Scholes was on punditry duty for Premier League Productions at the weekend and he suggested Ten Hag didn't set United up to win the game against Villa due to needing a result. "It was more of a survival tactic than anything, but they were quite tough to play against I suppose and you have to take into account the midweek fixtures especially.
"I think the game probably reflects the midweek both clubs had. United were more difficult to play against today and more difficult to play through, which doesn't usually happen.
