The scenic Derbyshire town has been named right at the top of the list of six locations
The idyllic Derbyshire town of Bakewell has been named one of the best UK holiday destinations to escape to for 48 hours after a study revealed the nation's favourite spots.
At the top of the list is Derbyshire's very own Peak District town, Bakewell, which is just an hour away from Derby. A spokesperson from Holiday Cottages said: "Just an hour away from Derby, nestled in the heart of the Peak District, Bakewell is an ideal destination for a 48-hour getaway, offering a charming mix of history, natural beauty, and local delights."
The list also details that visitors of the town should visit the famous Chatsworth H ouse, which is just a short drive away from the town. Furthermore, why not try out some Bakewell Tarts, one of the most famous food items to come out of Derbyshire.
