West Midlands Growth Company chief executive Neil Rami told Metro.co.uk that the series had been a ‘success story’ for the region and had helped put Birmingham and the Black Country on the map with visitors. ‘It is a no-brainer to consider doing something more permanent for visitors to celebrate Peaky and the upcoming film, so we have launched a feasibility study to investigate whether a new experience or attraction would be viable.’Birmingham City Council leader and councillor Ian Ward said Birmingham was central to the Peaky Blinders story and Black Country’s streets had been ‘relayed to millions of homes in the UK and across the world’.
Currently being staged in Camden, the 360-degree theatre show is set in the world of Peaky Blinders and follows ‘the rise in fortune of Tommy Shelby and his family as the unfolding narrative and live actors place the audience right at the heart of the Shelby Company’.
