A family from Pennsylvania has a goal: climb the tallest peak in each state.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports
how it all started about a decade ago after Mark Burd of Saxonburg, Somerset County, hiked to the top of Mount Davis. As Mount Davis is the as high as you can go in Pennsylvania, the same Post-Gazette article details how Burd thought it’d be a fun idea for him and his family to conquer the highest peaks in each state.
“We also enjoy visiting local breweries or distilleries, and stopping at historical sights,” tells Burd to the publication, highlighting how it’s not all about the elevation.
