Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was asked about Nottingham Forest's complaints about Premier League refereeing
Pep Guardiola 'absolutely disagrees' with the claim made by Nottingham Forest at the weekend questioning the integrity of a referee.
The post is under investigation by the FA and was slammed by the Premier League, who said that it was 'never appropriate to improperly question the integrity of match officials' as they confirmed that they too are looking into the matter. Asked about the comments in his press conference ahead of their Premier League trip to Brighton, the Manchester City manager spoke up for the difficult jobs that referees do.
"The referees want to do the job as best as possible. They feel the pressure, we put pressure on them for the passion of the game for the moment but when I sit here and reflect they try to do their best and are under scrutiny with the cameras there. They make a mistake, they feel bad. It's normal.
