It's all well and good planning a walk or a picnic until the rain turns up
I envisioned trips to the beach, to local parks for picnics, and walks along the Leeds-Liverpool canal. Not only do these activities provide plenty of fresh air and allow myself and my child to be immersed in nature, they don't cost anything.
It takes around 30 minutes to get to the aquarium, in Ellesmere Port, from Liverpool, and your ticket gives you all-day access to its many exhibits, as well as the kids' play area. We began our journey through the huge space in the "Northern Streams", which has some 700 animals that live in freshwater, such as lakes, rivers and streams. Then we were "transported to the Amazon" where we saw some incredible sea creatures including giant stingray, catfish and piranhas.
We had a fantastic day at Blue Planet Aquarium, and my little boy and I agree that it is the perfect rainy day activity.How much does it cost?
