Perrie Edwards was just a teenager when she auditioned on the X Factor. Now, the 30 year old is about to embark on a solo career after being part of one of the best selling girl groups of all time.

Perrie credited her bandmates for helping her through the difficult times in her life, and said she was forced to ‘get on with it’ despite feeling at her lowest. “Difficult times I would say would be struggling with personal stuff and then having to put on a brave face and act normal and get on with it when it is really hard and you don’t want to,” she confessed.
Alex popped the question 10 months after Axel was born while the couple were on a romantic beach getaway. Sharing the exciting news via Instagram, Perrie posted a collection of sweet photos and penned: "Last night the love of my life got down on one knee and I said… YES!"
