BREAKING: Person of interest in Hell's Kitchen gay bar vandalism taken into custody
NYC police arrested the person of interest in a recent vandalism of a Hell's Kitchen gay bar. As that went down, Gov. Hochul spoke out about local crime and hate in NYC. This comes after the NYPD released a new, clear surveillance video of the suspect at a bodega in the neighborhood. The video shows the man who police say threw a rock through the window of Vers on 9th Avenue Saturday night, hours before, which honors the memories of transgender individuals who have lost their lives to violence and discrimination.Neighbors are disgusted by the brazen display.
On Monday, NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell addressed the recent disturbing crimes targeting the LGBTQIA+ community.
