A 30-strong contingent from many parts of Perthshire - and beyond - roared on their team to success
The Perth-based Jailer Tours Tartan Army returned triumphant from sun-drenched Cyprus at the weekend, the 3-0 victory making Scotland still firm favourites to qualify for the 2024 European Championships in Germany next summer. And already hotels have been booked in various parts of the country for the month-long Deutschland sojourn for the finals which kick-off on June 14.
That went down a storm - and the Jailer Tours committee weren’t surprised to receive an email from the Cactus management telling them that the island suffered a beer shortage after the estimated 7000 Scottish fans left for home. Jailer Tours piper Stewart McBain and his apprentice Jimmy Wardlaw were the most photographed pair as locals - and other holidaymakers - clamoured for selfies with the kilted Scots.
