School District of Philadelphia high schools will have a new start time of 9 a.m. starting next school year.
PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia School District is officially shifting start times for high schools beginning this fall.The district made the announcement in a letter to staff, shared with Action News, on Thursday morning.
Pre-Kindergarten programs that are located in high schools are not affected and will maintain their current schedules. "We recognize that changing start and end times can present challenges to families, and remain committed to providing support to families wherever possible," the district said.
