The broadcaster will not be in attendance at tonight's ceremony
after he quit ITV earlier this year. The 61-year-old stepped down from the channel after he admitted an affair with a younger male colleague.
Mr Schofield would regularly attend the events alongside his broadcasting partner, Holly Willoughby. The two fronted memorable episodes of This Morning the day after the NTAs while still in their awards outfit, having not been home the night before.The former broadcasting partnership would sit-by-side at the ceremonies and were alongside each other when This Morning won the Best Daytime award at last year's event.
Alison re-shared a snap of the seating plan which showed the two alongside each other at the glitzy ceremony. Alison is up for the Best Presenter award at the ceremony tonight and has received Holly's backing ahead of the event. She said in her latest Wylde Moon newsletter: "This wonderful lady has been nominated in the best presenter category at tomorrow night’s NTAs and there is still time to vote for her.
