A Philadelphia parking authority officer was shot while working Friday afternoon in what police are describing as a targeted attack.
The shooting occurred about 4 p.m. Friday in front of a nail salon in the 4500 block of Frankford Avenue,The 37-year-old male PPA officer was shot in the ear and shoulder, police told local reporters. He sustained serious injuries. “It’s bold. It’s brazen and something we’re definitely going to do everything we can to solve immediately,” Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore toldWitnesses told police a car pulled up, shots were fired and then the driver sped away. Police are investigating whether a ticket he wrote earlier that day could be connected to the attack.
“He wrote tickets, that was his job out here today. He wrote several tickets.
