Rebecca Cronin is charged with theft, forgery and practicing law without a license, according to Evesham police.

A 34-year-old New Jersey woman who never passed the bar exam or even attended law school has been arrested after police learned she was posing as a lawyer for months, officials said.said in a statement. She also stole more than $100,000 from her employer, authorities said.

A police spokesman couldn’t immediately be reached for more information on who employed Cronin and when the scheme began, though a LinkedIn.com page for a Rebecca Shugars says she worked as a senior paralegal at a law firm.
