After working as a teacher and in a tattoo parlour as a receptionist she eventually landed a job at the upmarket Armani Hotel in Milan, where she told the court she had met Impagnatiello. Speaking initially from behind a screen Allegra described how she had terminated the pregnancy and had to pause for a few minutes before carrying on her testimony.
The court in Milan has heard this week how Impagnetiello stabbed Giulia 37 times while she lay in the bath before throwing her in his car and trying to burn the body. 'He had said that she was alone and was not well, that she had tried to harm herself and therefore he was worried.' Allegra added: 'He told me Giulia was bipolar, that she wasn't well, that she wanted to hurt herself, he told me that she was pregnant and he wasn't the father, that he had a DNA test.'Giulia Tramontano, 29, undated. 'I had decided to tell Giulia what I wanted her to know, that I had had enough of his lies, I decided that she needed to know, he continued to deny everything despite the evidence I had.' CCTV played to the court showed the two women having a heartfelt embrace but hours later Giulia was dead after he rounded on her in the bathroom of their flat stabbing her furiously.
