A PLANE with two people onboard has crashed near to a busy Scots airport sparking a major emergency response.
Members of the public have been warned to avoid the area after a light aircraft went down in a field near Glasgow Prestwick Airport earlier this afternoon.Police, fire and an air ambulance have all scrambled to the scene near the Ayrshire village of Monkton.radar images show the aircraft circling the area before going down near a field close to the A77 Prestwick Bypass.
The roads around the scene of the crash have been locked down as emergency crews deal with the ongoing incident.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.10pm on Tuesday, 23 April, 24 we received a report that a small aircraft with two people onboard had crashed in Monkton.Ten Hag set for Man Utd SACK after losing faith of fans with Wembley display
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.05pm on April 23 to reports of a crash involving a small aircraft near Monkton, Prestwick.RED AND BURIED
