The bargain shop will be on a 'busy' Nottingham street
Bargain retail chain Savers could open a new shop in Nottingham city centre. Plans have been submitted to transform a unit in Exchange Walk into the discount retailer, which operates more than 500 stores nationwide.
Kayleigh Smith, 29 a full-time mum from Aspley, said: “I think a Savers is a good idea, we don’t have many bargain shops in the city centre...There’s only really branded shops which is fine but a cheaper alternative is always nice for those budgeting.”Kayleigh added: “This is the perfect place for a new shop. There are people walking up from the train station, Marks and Spencer, and then people walking down from Market Square and those areas.
Naomi Hill, 33 lives in Clifton. She said: “I love Savers. It’s one of those places everyone will welcome, surely. Everyone loves a bargain and Savers sells so many different brands.”
