Around half the homes will be classed as affordable
Plans to build almost 150 homes on the site of an old high-rise estate in Old Trafford have been unveiled.
Developers plans to build 147 one-bedroom apartments and two, three, and four-bedroom houses. They say half will be affordable.It comes after a previous planning application, submitted in September 2022 and which included around 30% affordable housing, was withdrawn following a public consultation. The council and L&Q say 'significant changes' have been made to the plans, including proposed two apartment blocks being replaced with 'family sized housing'.
He added: "This particular proposal includes plans for 73 affordable properties, a much needed boost to assist us with the housing crisis in Trafford."
