Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s personal popularity and support for the Voice to Parliament is “intrinsically linked” after the latest Newspoll recorded a drop in support for the ‘Yes’ campaign, Sky News host Sharri Markson says. Ms Markson said the Prime Minister was “riding high” in the polls before he started campaigning for the Voice. “The Voice campaign is dragging support for Albanese down, and Albanese is dragging support for the Voice down,” she said. “It's a downward spiral, and it looks like come October 14, according to today's polls, it won't be a good outcome for either the Voice or Albanese's own political fortunes.”
