Police arrest 21-year-old in fatal shooting on Buffalo Speedway in Southwest Houston

Houston police officers responded to a reported shooting at about 3:45 p.m. in an apartment complex parking lot at 9955 Buffalo Speedway. Davenport had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman had suffered one gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital.Police said Davenport confronted a man he believed had broken into his vehicle, an argument took place and the suspect pulled a gun and shot Davenport.
Banks was later identified as the suspect and arrested without incident. He was out on a felony bond at the time of the shooting, police said.
