Dontre La Ron Nestle was charged with murder in connection with the death of 24-year-old Orlando Stuart. He is being held on $200,000 bail. On July 16, 2021, San Antonio police were called to the LA Fitness in the 7100 block of Blanco Road for a shooting in progress. When police arrived, they found Stuart and another man who had been shot multiple times in front of the gym.Stuart was shot in the back of the head and the left shoulder, while the other man was suffering from gunshot wounds in the abdomen and legs. Stuart died at the scene. The other man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses said the men were playing basketball at the gym with two other men and that when the group walked out, the shooting began, according to an affidavit supporting Nestle’s arrest.
