Emergency services were called to Sherdley Bridge in St Helens at around 8.35pm on Friday, December 6. Witnesses reported seeing a large emergency presence along St Helens Linkway. Police, ambulances, and fire engines are reported to be at the scene. The Linkway is reported to have been closed from Elton Head Road, with closures also installed on Sherdley Road.
