Terribly sad news emerging from Portrush
Police say they received "a report for a concern for safety" of a man in the Ramore Avenue area of Portrush at approximately 6.45pm last night, July 3.
In a statement to Belfast Live, a PSNI spokesperson said: "Officers attended along with our colleagues from other emergency services, including HM Coastguard. Sadly, the man died at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious."Coleraine and Ballycastle Coastguard Rope Rescue Teams were tasked to the scene.
"[Crews were tasked] to reports of a person fallen from the cliffs at Ramore Head, Portrush," a social media post from the Coastguard read.DUP MP Carla Lockhart said: "Such sad news - our thoughts are very much with all those caught up in this tragic incident.
