Three men, dressed in dark coloured clothing and balaclavas, attacked the man with a machete
Police are hunting the drivers of three vehicles and a pedal cyclist after a man was attacked with a machete in an attempted murder bid by a gang of masked men in Edinburgh.
Soon after exiting the building, three men, dressed in dark coloured clothing and balaclavas, attacked the man with the weapon. The victim was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by ambulance with serious injuries, where his current condition is unknown. A pedal cyclist was also seen travelling from nearby Cramond Road South onto Quality Street at the time, before returning to the scene just minutes later. Officers say that while none of the vehicles nor cyclist were involved in the incident, they are being treated as potential witnesses.
