Officers confirm the 18 year old's identity as Nathan Callahan. Detectives say he got into a fight with a group of men. Those men then began beating him.
According to police, the shooting happened during a"large gathering" at the Reserve at Star Pass apartments at 41 S. Shannon Rd.
Public Information Officer Richard Gradillas says bystanders and police tried saving the Callahan, but couldn't.Gradillas adds police found Callahan's friend involved in the shooting. The friend had gunshot wounds, but was treated for"non-life-threatening injuries."Apparently, Callahan's friend pulled him away from the fight. Then, an unknown man walked up to the two and began fighting.The TPD is asking anyone with information to please call 911 of 88-CRIME.
