Two people made reports saying their vehicles had been entered and belongings were stolen from inside, according to Upper Allen Township police.
Upper Allen Township Police are investigating car break-ins in Cumberland County after two victims reported their vehicles had been entered and items were stolen from inside.
Police said both break-ins happened on Friday between 5 and 5:25 p.m. in a parking lot across from the Upper Allen Township Dog Park at 321 Gettysburg Pike. In a release, police said the rear passenger window on one of the vehicles was left shattered in order to get hold of a purse that was inside. The other purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Police said in a statement that the majority of break-ins take place when “valuables or containers that hold valuables like purses, briefcases, and backpacks are left out in plain view.” Anyone with information regarding both break ins is asked to call 717-238-9676.
