Police investigating shooting of man in Logan Heights [Breaking]
A man shot another man in the arm Thursday night in Logan Heights in what may have been a dispute between neighbors, according to San Diego police.
It happened just before 8 p.m. at or near a residence between Logan and National avenues, between South 30th and South 31st streets, Officer Robert Heims said. Multiple people called 911 after the shooting, including people who were with the victim, Heims said. The shooter may have also called 911. Officers at the scene reported the victim was shot in the elbow, Heims said. At least one person was detained in connection with the shooting.According to emergency radio traffic, the shooter told a police dispatcher that he shot someone trying to break into his home. Other callers reported that their family member had been shot.
Police at the scene were trying to sort out what happened, Heims said. The severity of the man’s gunshot wound was not immediately known, and no other details were immediately available.
