Officers received a report from Coltness High School on Tuesday afternoon following an alleged assault.
A police investigation is underway after a teacher was allegedly attacked by a pupil at a high school in Wishaw.

The spokesperson continued: “We can confirm that an incident took place at Coltness High School on Tuesday, September 5.“We are helping Police Scotland with their enquiries.”He said: “While the full circumstances of this incident are yet to be made public, we have raised repeated concerns about the vulnerability of teachers to violence and verbal abuse from pupils.
