British Transport Police have shared an image of a man they believe may be able to assist their enquiries into an incident which occured at around 8am on Wednesday, September 18.

A CCTV appeal has been launched following an incident on board a train travelling between Wishaw and Glasgow .

Officers say he may have information that could assist them and urge the male or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.READ MORE: Ten Glasgow council areas with highest child poverty levels to be focus of more action He is described as Asian, between 30 to 40 years old, around 5ft 6 in height with a slim build and a short dark patchy goatee. He was wearing a white/grey skip hat with a black bomber jacket, dark blue jeans with a pair of chunky white Nike trainers.

Anyone with information is urged to contact British Transport Police by text on 61016 or calling them on 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 2400117373. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously.
