An attempted robbery took a turn in Wissinoming when the victim wrestled the gun out of the suspect's hand and shot a second suspect, according to police.
Police released surveillance video which appears to show the victim wrestling with the first suspect before taking the gun out of his hand to shoot a second suspect who approached and fired the two shots that struck the victim.
Ricky Seck, owner of Ricky's Place, says he was scared when gunfire started to erupt right outside his shop Monday afternoon. "Everybody's afraid of gunshots," he said. "We were afraid they'd run into the bar and shoot everybody in the bar, so for safety I had to lock both doors." According to officials, the first suspect was trying to rob the victim as he was standing on the sidewalk and the second suspect jumped in after seeing a struggle ensued. Both suspects then fled in a dark-colored SUV going south on the 5400 hundred block of Edrick Street.
