Rochester, N.Y. — Police confirmed Friday that a scuba team has been searching the Genesee River for a missing University of Rochester professor.
Heikki Rantakari, 44, an associate professor at the University of Rochester who was reportedly last seen Friday, Oct. 20, 2023.
Rochester, N.Y. — Police confirmed Friday that a scuba team has been searching the Genesee River for a missing University of Rochester professor. Investigators obtained video evidence from early Saturday that showed Heikki Rantakari, 44, falling from the pedestrian bridge at the end of Bragdon Place into the Genesee River.
The Rochester Police Department's scuba team has been searching the river for the last two days but hasn't found Rantakari.
