Mark Rosebury was found in possesion of hundreds of images of child abuse A serving police officer has been jailed after he was found to be in possession of over 500 images of child sexual abuse. Devices seized from Mark Rosebury’s home in Bacup, Lancashire showed hundreds of indecent images of children. The 38-year-old was a member of Greater Manchester Police at the time of his arrest.
‘When police officers commit offences there is a loss of public confidence in the police service as a whole.’ Det Con Aria Powell, of the Online Child Abuse Investigation Team, said: ‘It is important to stress that online offending is not a victimless crime. People who view these horrific images are effectively facilitating this type of crime, which affects so many children across the world.
