A medical witness who gave evidence for the prosecution of Lucy Letby said they had been attacked by a member of the public with ‘pro-Letby beliefs’ and reported it to police.
Cheshire Police have confirmed they are investigating.According to the Sunday Times, another medical witness who had been targeted on social media by so-called Letby ‘truthers’ said they were considering referring the matter to police.Neonatal nurse Letby, 34, is serving 15 whole-life sentences after she was convicted of murdering seven newborn babies and trying to kill six others at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Commenting on the case, Streeting, who was Shadow Health Secretary at the time, defended comments made by fellow MP David Davis, who this week questioned data used to support her conviction.
