Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace after a girl was sexually assaulted in Nottingham while waiting for a bus. The 16-year-old girl was sitting at the number 58 bus stop in Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham city centre, when a man walked over to her and started to harass her at around 8.20am on Wednesday, June 26.
He sat very close to her and tried to touch her face, at which point his victim asked him to leave her alone. Police said the man then tried to grab her as the bus arrived at the stop, before stumbling and groping her chest. A concerned member of the public then stepped in to protect the girl from further harassment, with her attacker stopped from following her onto the bus. Nottinghamshire Police has now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to to identify and speak to in connection with the alleged sexual assault.Police have urged anyone who recognises the man to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 144 of June 26.
