In a statement from GMP the force said they are investigating 'the conduct shown in the video'
Shocking footage has emerged showing an armed officer kicking and stamping on a man's head during an incident at Manchester Airport . The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the violent scenes that took place on Wednesday afternoon . Police were called to an 'altercation' between members of the public in Terminal two, which escalated when officers faced a 'violent assault' during an attempted arrest.
A female officer sustained a broken nose, and other officers required hospital treatment. The police said there was a risk about the the armed officers 'firearms being taken'. The footage has quickly racked up thousands of views online. Greater Manchester Police have 'acknowledged the concerns' about conduct and confirmed that the incident is being assessed by the Professional Standards Directorate.
