Tempe Police officers are at the scene of a reported shooting near Arizona State University's Tempe campus, according to ASU Police.
Officials with th Arizona State University Police Department are asking people to avoid an area near the university's Tempe campus amid a reported shooting.
According to post made by ASU Police officials on their X account, the incident is unfolding in the area of Myrtle and 7th Street. "Suspect described as black male, 5' 10", last seen wearing a gray or blue windbreaker and long pants. Considered armed and dangerous," read a portion of a tweet sent out by ASU Police officials.
In a separate statement, officials with the Tempe Police Department say there is a heavy police presence in the area, resulting in traffic restrictions.BREAKING NEWS
