Police responded to a home on the 2000 block of South Beechwood Street at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived they found a 36-year-old man who was stabbing a 72-year-old woman.
Two of the officers used a Taser on the man but it had no effect, according to police. They then ordered the man to drop his knife but he allegedly did not comply and instead lunged at the officers.The man was taken to Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:10 p.m. The man's aunt, who suffered multiple stab wounds throughout her body, was also taken to Presbyterian where she was pronounced dead at 5:37 p.m.This story is developing.
