Marlène's plant-based croissants have already garnered a huge fanbase and now they have a permanent home in the city centre.
A French former chef turned baker who previously won over fans baking from her home kitchen has announced she is to open a bakery and café in town.
The kitchen bakery, which became known for its plant-based croissants and pain au chocolat, is now set to open as a city centre café for people to enjoy her creations as well as some great coffee. She said: "The idea is to sell the experience of enjoying a quality viennoiserie for breakfast. My favourite thing to do in the morning is to dip a fresh pain au chocolat in a hot cup of black coffee.
