A series of powerful storms that swept through the East Coast have been blamed for 2 deaths on Halloween, authorities say.
. The man, who died at a hospital, was identified Friday as Knoxville native George Walker, 79.
His office said much of the state was impacted by flooding and power outages, with almost 60 road closures in effect Friday. "These situations can be a matter of life and death," he said in a statement,"and I am urging all New Yorkers to exercise extreme caution and only travel if necessary."
