Here's how we think the Hoops will line up at Parkhead
There's set to be a standing ovation for Adam Idah as the returning striker gears up to make his second Celtic debut against Hibs at Parkhead this afternoon.
The frontman is back after the Hoops finally struck a deal rising to £9.5m with Norwich for the hitman who starred on loan last season. And just in time too, as with Kyogo posted missing from training due to a shoulder injury, he's likely to be needed to lead the line with a spot in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals on the line.
That's something Brendan Rodgers will be particularly keen to secure, with last season's League Cup the only domestic trophy he's contested in Scotland without winning. So far it's been a perfect start to the 2024/25 for the Hoops and they downed today's opponents Hibs in Leith last week.
There's not likely to be too much rotation for Rodgers however he could ring in a couple of changes to keep things fresh. Keeper VIljami Sinisalo, for instance, could get his first chance between the sticks for cup duty, while Alistair Johnston is another who may miss out after he also sat out of training on Friday. Anthony Ralston has been waiting for his chance and is a capable deputy.
Daizen Maeda may also come in having not started either of the Hoops' first two games. He came off the bench at Easter Road and getting him back to full fitness will be important for Rodgers who sees him as a key player off the flank.
