One lucky person took home £100,000 despite having just £100 in Bonds
Premium Bonds holders will be checking their savings today as the winners for the August prize draw have been announced. The big prizes include the two jackpot prizes for £1million. One of these was won by a person from Outer London with winning Bond number 516FV135553, which they purchased in October 22.
Each £1 Bond has an equal chance of being selected to win a prize. You can check if you have won a prize using the prize checker tool on the NS&I website or via the app. Recent research found the average Premium Bonds saver has £5,185 and with this holding amount, you are unlikely to win a prize. In fact, two thirds of Bond holders have never won a prize.
